Applicazione BCI – Terapia basata su neurofeedback e note musicali per la sindrome Locked-In, realizzato in collaborazione con il centro Brainew di Trieste – 2011
LISound Stimulation it’s a BCI application that creates a bridge between the music and the world of rehabilitation related to neuroscience, using the intensity of an EEG signal to modulate a note within an octave. The project was created to help a patient locked-in, which, manifesting a visual impairment in therapy sessions with EEG headset, has given rise to the need for acoustic feedback to combine with the visual. The aim of LISound is to understand the potential of psychoacoustics about increasing synaptic plasticity in a locked-in patient.
LISound receives signals as OSC messages, so it easily works with any other BCI system supporting this protocol.
